Art Blog: Guaranteed SMILE!

With this post, I guarantee a smile, maybe tears of joy, and even a probable batch of goose bumps! We all know SIMON from "American Idol". He is also a judge on "Britains Got Talent 2009". Well, you can see his face below as he interrogates 47 Year old Susan Boyle BEFORE she sang. If you watch the video, you will see she doesn't look like star material. The audience even laughed all through her pre-audition interview. Watch this. Believe me, Simon's expression changes as soon as she opens her mouth to sing!

Click to watch this amazing, sweet, and wonderful moment!
GO SUSAN!!!! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!

It made me cry :) what a cracker eh! (for american readers cracker is a term of endearment where I come from in England).

Jaf!!! I have watched it FOUR times and I have cried EVERY time!! I just love stuff like this. In fact, before she started singing, I felt so sorry for her because EVERYONE was laughing and making fun. I felt so bad for her. Well, she has the last laugh huh! Good for her!

Oh and the CRACKER reference: It if very good you clarified. Where I live now "cracker" is used as a derogatory, racial term used against Caucasian people. You know? LOL LOL

Thanks for sharing. What a great reminder not to judge the book by the cover. I hope her dreams continue to come true.

I cried too - it's always amazing when a "normal" looking person IS ALLOWED IN PUBLIC to show the great talent underneath the non-glitzy facade. I hope that she realizes her dream. But if I remember correctly, this is the second time that Simon has been surprised by a Brit; remember Paul Pott's singing Nessum Norma (sp?). He had (has) a faubulous voice as well and I can't find out what happened to him after his performance.

That had to be one of the most incredible dramatic scenes that trenscends reality and tv. We should all have that defining moment that Susan had. It was so inspirational, thank you for posting that.

I was just getting ready to blog about this video too!
Though I don't own a tv- and thus Simon is only a character I have heard about... I truly enjoyed seeing his (and everyone else's) reactions. I have watched the video 4 times- and have cried everytime!
Beautiful, AWEsome.... Bravo Susan Boyle.
